It's been over 40 years now and the duo, actresses Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell, remain friends even to date. They both met on an audition set when they were just 9 and 10 years old.
They had long before met each other even before they started their career in the Hollywood industry and starred together in Little Shop of Horrors and later the hit sitcom 90s sitcom Martin.Tisha who was born in 1968 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was raised in Newark, New Jersey where she attended Newark Arts High School and East Orange, New Jersey’s Washington Academy of Music.
Tichina, on the other hand, was born in New York City, in 1969 and graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia School of Music and Arts and Performing Arts.
In 1986, destiny united them on the set of Frank Oz's rock comedy musical film, Little Shop of Horrors, their very first acting gig together where they appeared in a singing and dancing trio. In the film, Tisha played a member of the Greek Chorus named Chiffon while Tichina appeared as Crystal one of the three chorus girls who performed R&B ballads.
In 2021, the duo appeared as guests on the Tamron Hall Show to talk about their decades long friendship. They both shared their past experiences and revealed how they've been able to scale through many of their career challenges always having each other backs.
They also supported each other during their marital challenges marriage -- Tisha with her divorce from actor Duane Martin, and Tichina with her divorce from former NBA player Rico Rhines. Now, they are both raising their kids as single independent women.
