Most people don't know it, but actress Tichina Arnold began her career in 1986 with an appearance on Sesame Street and an appearance on The Cosby Show in 1989. Many people also don't know that she also almost had her very own sitcom called Goin' For Mine, which would have been a spin-off of her character's role as Pam on Martin.
Landing the role on Martin, one of the most successful sitcoms of all time, was actually her biggest achievement in Hollywood at the time. The show lasted from 1992 to 1997 and afterward Fox offered Tichina an opportunity of a lifetime - a new show that would be entirely centered around her character Pam. The story would have been based on her career as a working professional after being fired from the PR firm that she had previously worked at with her best friend Gina.In Goin' For Mine, Pam would have been working as an A&R executive at Keep It Real Records, a record label owned by one of her old high school friends. Sadly, however, the show was only aired as a backdoor pilot and never saw the day of light. It was canceled before it ever even went live, but that didn't stop Tichina from becoming the Hollywood veteran that she has become with an entire catalog of shows and films that she has starred in.
After Martin, she went on to have another successful run from 2001 to 2005 as Nicole Barnes in UPN's One on One, and then yet another one as Rochelle in Everybody Hates Chris from 2005 to 2009.
Now at 53 years old, Tichina is still a beautiful, well-respected actress and influencer that has been starring alongside Cedric The Entertainer since 2018 in the hit sitcom The Neighborhood which can be viewed on CBS and Amazon Prime Video.
